Keep one shared decision board current in Messages
Use Threadpin's interactive message to maintain one conversation board for plans, links and decisions.
Editorial review:
Create the board in the conversation that owns the plan
Start a Threadpin board from the iMessage conversation where the people doing the work already talk. Add only the useful shared information: a short decision, the current task list, a date, place or link. Put private account details or unrelated messages somewhere else.
A group organizing a weekend trip might keep the chosen dates, the meeting place, two links and the next decision in this one board. Keep each note short enough to scan on a phone.
Send updates through the active board message
When details change, open the latest Threadpin interactive message, edit the board and send the update through the same conversation. Threadpin reuses the interactive message session, so Messages replaces the previous active board bubble and moves the current state to the bottom of the conversation.
Tell the group what changed if the edit itself does not make the decision clear. A date change might need a short note explaining who confirmed it, especially if not everyone follows the thread continuously.
Recover the board from its message
To reopen the current board later, tap the latest Threadpin bubble in the Messages conversation. Keep the bubble available to participants who need it, and send a new update when a decision becomes final so the conversation has a clear current version.
Threadpin does not read message history or automatically collect the conversation. Apple does not expose an API for an extension to pin an arbitrary message to the top of Messages, so the board stays reachable through its interactive bubble rather than a permanent pinned-message control.
Keep a separate record for formal work
Use the board for shared coordination, not as the only copy of contracts, financial records or detailed project files. Participants still need access to the conversation and its interactive message, and the product stores local board history on the user's device.
This guide describes the implemented message-extension workflow. App distribution status is shown on the product page and can change while Apple reviews a release.
