FIELD GUIDE ยท Nebulacraft
Prepare a Nebulacraft ship for a Frontier Run chapter
A repeatable way to shape a flagship and crew plan before entering Nebulacraft's offline tactical campaign.
Editorial review:
Start with the free campaign
Open the guided tutorial before committing to optional campaign packs. It introduces the battle interface and the choices the free Frontier Run expects. The campaign contains six chapters and twenty-four encounters, so think about how the ship and crew plan should work across more than the next fight.
Nebulacraft is designed for portrait iPhone play and works offline. The local game uses deterministic pixel art; an optional backend-generated flagship portrait is separate from the combat systems and is not needed to play.
Build for a role, then inspect the deck
Use the ship forge to adjust the flagship and command deck. Choose the crew doctrine and signature-ability behavior that match how actively you want to intervene. Manual signature abilities preserve the chance to choose a moment yourself; optional auto-tactics can use the available behavior automatically.
Before a run, inspect the deck and verify that the selected doctrine and abilities still match your plan. If your strategy depends on a signature activation, do not assume auto-tactics will make the same timing choice you would make manually.
Use the first encounters as a check
Treat an early encounter as a read on the current loadout. Notice where support wings take damage, which parts of the ship are still intact and whether the selected ability timing helps the crew. If the setup feels wrong, return to the forge between encounters and change one element so you can understand its effect.
For example, if support wings are being destroyed before the flagship can use its signature, try a doctrine or deck adjustment that addresses that bottleneck instead of changing several systems at once.
Keep campaign and purchase choices separate
Gameplay awards the same in-game Stardust currency used by the optional packs, and the optional packs do not make the game require a network connection. Review the store description and current terms before buying anything; a campaign pack is optional content rather than a required campaign upgrade.
Nebulacraft does not claim live PvP. Its battles are a local tactical game, and this guide's advice is about preparing for the implemented campaign, not a guaranteed way to win every encounter.
