FIELD GUIDE ยท Auction House Tracker for WoW

Read WoW auction history before setting a price alert

Compare a market snapshot with longer item history, then set a target that reflects how delayed auction data works.

Editorial review:

Pick the exact market first

Choose the game version, region and realm or market before searching for an item. A familiar item name can have a different price on another version or faction market, so confirm the selected market in the page before interpreting a quote.

Search the item, open its detail and look at the source timestamp and freshness label. The app is read-only: it helps you research and monitor, but it does not buy or list auctions for you.

Use history to add context

Review the 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day history views together. A single snapshot answers what the latest source recorded; the longer charts help show whether that quote sits near a recent range or an unusual spike. Check coverage and data age before drawing a conclusion.

For example, if a material is much cheaper in today's snapshot than its recent weekly range, verify that the realm is correct and note whether the latest sample is fresh. The app cannot tell you how much inventory is actually available to purchase after the snapshot was taken.

Set an alert around your own threshold

Add the item to a watchlist and choose an above- or below-price threshold that would prompt you to look again. Alerts are a reminder to inspect the market; they do not guarantee a purchase opportunity. Recheck the item and timestamp before making an in-game decision.

The source cadence varies. Blizzard describes hourly updates for supported Retail data, while the Classic fallback uses a community data source with its own update time. A listing can sell between snapshot collection and alert delivery, and missing markets stay unavailable rather than receiving an invented quote.

Keep the decision in game

Use the price history as one input alongside your realm, faction, crafting plans and available in-game currency. The tracker does not automate a trade or guarantee profit. Prices can move, and a recorded quote is not a reservation.
